The forecast was cloudy with a chance of rain in downtown Charleston yesterday, but that did not stop hundreds along the route of Broad Street, King Street and Meeting Street from donning their best holiday attire and enjoying one of the nicest community events of the season. From the Mayor to Santa, the community of Charleston waved and cheered on the floats, bands, cars and decorated parade participants as they journeyed through the streets.
For those that could not attend, we wanted to capture some of the moments from yesterday’s holiday parade.
As you can see, there is a strong sense of love and community that came out to witness yesterday’s event. Even with the chance of rain, it did not stop the dedicated volunteers, officers and patrons from coming together.
