Holiday Festival of Lights (James Island County Park) recruiting staff for 2023 season

Spread cheer at one of the Lowcountry’s most beloved holiday attractions

[JAMES ISLAND] – The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) is seeking candidates for a variety of open positions at this year’s Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park.

Join the Holiday Festival of Lights team and help spread holiday cheer! Interested applicants are encouraged to view open positions at www.ccprc.com/HFOLJobs. Positions are available for ages 16 and up, and all candidates must be willing to work evenings. The festival opens on Nov. 10, but interested candidates are encouraged to apply now.

Available opportunities include positions at the festival gift shops, concession stands, front gate and other locations within the Holiday Festival of Lights. Maintenance positions are also available. Pay begins at $15 an hour. Spend your evenings making lasting holiday memories for the park’s guests!

The Holiday Festival of Lights will be open every evening from Nov. 10 – Dec. 31, 2023, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. nightly. Millions of visitors have toured the Holiday Festival of Lights, which is hosted by the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission at James Island County Park. Families will make magical, lasting memories as they cruise along the three-mile display of glimmering lights through the park. After the driving tour, guests can park the car and explore family attractions, shopping, dining and more.

The holiday hotspot has earned many awards and mentions throughout the country, including being named Best Lowcountry Event by the Post & Courier in 2022, a 2018 Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, and also has been recognized by USA Today, Coastal Living Magazine, and Southern Living Magazine, among others.
