What are you searching for baby?
In this world not meant for us, we are a billion points of light lost in a universe of chaos in the quest for meaning
When I see your heart stretch in the realm of infinite purpose, I am blown away by the strength you share
In the shadows of darkness, poverty a candle burns in the cauldron
I hear your message in the emotion you share
In a world muted, your voice is loud and clear
But something lingers inside
An unknown haunting your nights
A greater purpose, yet undefined
Are you undiscovered?
I see a million smiling children laughing
A hoard of puppies in your arms
A cloud above with you its captain
A single life saved
In this hour, this minute, this second
I see the purpose
This mortal legacy stirred up with a pinch of kindness and a cup of selflessness
Now I beg on my knee with this quiet voice
“What are you searching for?”
I feel you know
Unleash this vulnerable state
Discover the true you
Remain in the fight
You will reach the heights of infinity high above the clouds
Another kiss in the rain
Another day by your side
A warm touch of those lips
Nothing more to hide
One last look in your eyes
To see beyond the other side
A ray of darkness; a sunrise in the night
All is forgiven on this train ride tonight
A rhyme of chaos
A harmony without words
A song that began the moment of you
Tonight, I lie on this bed listening for the past
I hear your whispers like wine
So sweet and wet they tempt me with every glass
I can’t escape these chains
They run so forcefully tight
Piercing the skin; destroying the might
I want to run once again
To the place I found you
In the dark musty room, where it all came so clear
I want to feel the first time
Lust over time
A vulnerable stance
Prisoner to your dance
I can’t hold back this truth diseased in the chase
Hidden behind the bottle I fear I lost my last embrace
So now I write this poem; perhaps a confession or two
I read it all alone
Shed a tear for you
I know we are through
From beyond this life, I look down upon you
In that smile I knew it was always you
Remember me this
Remember me true
From the moment our eyes met, I was in love with you.

You are the most romantic ending I have ever known
The rain falling on our wet lips clenched in a moment of endless passion
The music orchestrated to our every move
The natural light of sun warming your skin
The conflict that heats the passion
The letters, the regret, the pain, the times that were almost so right
You are the romantic ending that will be studied for generations
A cure for the broken heart
So many lost moments earlier in the film
What almost was
So many times
Drown by meaningless affairs of the heart
With every passionless night; so many faceless beauties, you were always in the shadows
Lingering at the edge of my unfulfilled heart
The benchmark of this existence
My reason for being
A helpless soul, I was, always searching for what I already found
A wonderful misadventure this has been
Still
After all this time
I know
You are the most romantic ending to this story
I see now, with this dried up pen, there is no more to write
It is now time to live in the moment after the credits have run their course
The part that is just meant for you and I
Our sequel
A continuation
Bury the mistakes
Close our eyes to what might have been
See me for the first time once again
Feel the glimmer that began so long ago
Raise your beauty to the sun and hear the music intensify
Because this is now
This is the most romantic ending I have ever known

Applying to the College of Charleston just got a little easier.
Starting Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, the College of Charleston will give applicants the option of applying to the College through the Common Application. The Common App is an online application program used by over 900 colleges in the United States for undergraduate admissions.
By
becoming a Common App member, the College of Charleston will streamline
the application process for students interested in applying to multiple
institutions, and gain exposure to students who may not have otherwise
considered CofC.
“We joined Common App to help simplify the college application experience for students and counselors,” said Jimmie Foster Jr.,
vice president of enrollment planning at the College. “Our new
partnership with the Common App will help the College educate more
students about the value, attainability and affordability of a College
of Charleston degree.”
Students applying for college through the
Common Application website will be able to submit one application –
instead of having to submit multiple ones – to the schools of their
choosing. Information required in the application includes class rank,
SAT/ACT test scores, essays, GPA and letters of recommendation.
Last year more than 1 million students submitted 4 million applications through Common App.
“Joining Common App will make the College of Charleston more accessible to more students as well as expand the College’s reach and visibility,” said College of Charleston President Andrew T. Hsu. “Further, it will enable us to continue recruiting the best and brightest students from around the country and the world while making it easier for students to apply to the College.”
