Doctor Jeffrey DiLisi selected as new Chief Executive Officer for Roper St. Francis Healthcare
Dr. Jeffrey DiLisi has been selected as the new Chief Executive Officer for Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston, SC. After a successful and extensive national search, Dr. Jeffrey DiLisi was selected to lead the 160-year-old, prestigious, and award-winning, four-hospital health system. Roper Hospital anchors Roper St. Francis Healthcare, St. Francis Hospital, Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital, and Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital; the 657-bed health system includes more than 117 facilities and doctors’ offices throughout the Lowcountry region.

Dr. DiLisi will join Roper St. Francis Healthcare on December 7th, 2020, after serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer & Operations for Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia. Virginia Hospital Center is an independent health system with a teaching hospital with 394 licensed beds, an employed physician group with practice locations throughout Northern Virginia, and net revenue of approximately $500 MM.
Dr. DiLisi is a data-driven physician executive with over ten years of healthcare leadership experience, increasing operational responsibilities, significant-quality, patient safety, growth, and financial results. He brings proven success in aligning the interests of a mixed Medical Staff with administrative and Board-level strategic priorities. Dr. DiLisi currently serves on the Board membership in CareFirst, the $10 B Maryland/DC/VA Blue Cross and Blue Shield operator. Jeff has an MBA from Duke University, his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College, and his undergraduate degree from Duke University. Dr. DiLisi is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. Dr. DiLisi and his family, are excited to be a part of the Charleston community.
