Charleston Daily is a concept in community. Its mission is to promote, assist, and celebrate in everything Charleston, South Carolina. By partnering with businesses, community leaders, volunteers and events, we are spreading the love that is Charleston. As this city continues to grow and prosper, we want to help spread the message to all about how wonderful this community is. Charleston is about the people, community, water, land, history, heritage and the true southern warmth it brings with each and every day.
Having first visited the Holy City many years ago it became my favorite destination. Something about it seemed so welcoming and familiar. It was as if I had been there a long time ago…maybe a past life. It felt like home. We returned many times for visits and it was always just like coming home. Due to a few years of health issues we have not been able to visit and we are hoping to be there next fall. I truly yearn in my heart to return. I need a long walk along the Battery, a visit to the Market, a trip to Dacubas, lunch at Bubba Gumps. A visit with the wonderful Sawgrass basket artisans plus much more to fill my soul again. I’m hearing that my favorite city is being lost to an influx of people , big business and so called “progress”. I will return with mixed feelings hoping some part of the places I love are still there. Otherwise my heart will truly break because I will grieve the loss the rest of my days. My love to you beautiful city. Stay well.
