If the Carolinas were a single US State, it would be the nation’s 5th largest (only smaller than California, Texas, Florida, and New York). Of course, North and South Carolina isn’t a single state, I mean they were for a short time, but that was centuries ago.
North Carolina is the bigger state today, it has more people and businesses and it’s a top 10 US state by population. South Carolina is charming though, it has better natural attractions too, and with cities like Myrtle Beach, you shouldn’t be surprised to learn that South Carolina is the 7th most visited state in the US. I compare and contrast the states of North and South Carolina, breaking down which state is better and which state has a brighter future. Of course, I also take the time to explain why we have two Carolinas in the first place, as the Carolina rivalry is as old as the United States.
