Isle of Palms is 15 minute drive from downtown and has the same beautiful Beaches. You’ll loves the ‘Pickett fence cottage to modern coastal luxury homes’ diversity. It is a real community where people grew up or moved permanently as full time residents. You can bike ride the residential streets, Get coffee or lunch at charming local places. Enjoy beautiful vistas, dolphins, the Marina(the store is fantastic), Shelling wide white sand beaches and have cocktails on rooftop open-air decks while soaking in pink sunsets, walk the beach to gorgeous sunrises. The TV show Netflix phenom ‘Outer Banks’is filmed in the immediate area. There are eco cruises and kayaking and paddle boarding, kite flying, community golf cart parades and more, and 56 easy accesses to the Beach. Get an ice cream or local shrimp and oysters. Dine gourmet Italian with seafood emphasis at Coda De Pesce . Or get a Frose Rose at the Coop(it’s pink). . The Oyster Bar and Long Island Cafe cannot be beat( try crispy Flounder)….walk or ride a golf cart or street legal cart to anything. There’s is a shuttle cart for hire if you over- indulge. And a local restaurant bar has created a specialty drink with proceeds to benefit the efforts in Ukraine. It’s an Clean Beach and Island has banned single use plastics and has volunteer clean ups regularly. We even have a Beach Santa who picks up trash. And the Boulevard is lined with Majestic Palms.. Fashion shopping is 5-10 minutes away in Towne Centre or visit a working farm/plantation/wedding venue called Boone Hall where Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were married. . Shop handmade Sweetgrass baskets on the roadside. Travel 5 minutes to Sandpiper Gallery with the BEST handmade jewelry and art. The breeze on the beach here keeps the temperatures moderate in summer but the water is really warm. And you must read New York Times 1. And Public Safety services are top notch and local people very friendly and helpful.
