The Charleston Airshow is looking for one inspirational community leader to take a passenger seat in a Blue Angels aircraft.
We’re looking for a true role model, someone who encourages local youth to dream big and work hard. The goal is simple: to share an incredible experience with a person who embodies excellence, and in turn, inspires our community.
After the flight, they’ll have an amazing story to tell. We will work in concert with our media partners to help share the journey, giving the entire community a unique glimpse into the thrilling world of naval aviation and motivating others to reach for the sky in their own lives.

My husband was in the special forces marines. He now dedicates his life to me which I have seizures and he is always there for me. We are in Lexington, sc but plan to be at the show regardless. We both love the blue angels and I know extremely proud to represent SC
I would love to vote my daughter Angelina for this.. she’s 23.. already has skydived in Colorado.. BUT. SHE’S HIGH FUNCTIONING AUTISTIC AND LOVES THE THRILL.. please consider her.. she has had so many battles that she’s overcome.. she was considered highly autistic as a child growing up and overcame her language barrier and so many obstacles and really wants to join the Air Force.. goes to college and works full-time at the same place for 3 years and she is such a inspiration to so many parents of autism but this would be the ultimate thrill for her thank you if you even consider her
I nominate Tommy Newell, Berkeley County Representative and runs Tom Conley recreation park where the children of all ages play baseball. Tommy knows alot about the growth and development in the areas around Charleston Air Force Base. I’ve known him over 20 years and I respect him alot. He gives alot of his time to keeping children occupied in sports! He listens to his constituents and pretty much gives a response very quickly too.
