Crust Wood Fired Pizza & Bailey’s Oyster Bar Now Open Downtown at 45 Romney St.

CHARLESTON, SC – Crust Wood Fired Pizza & Bailey’s Oyster Bar are excited to announce its doors are officially open downtown at 45 Romney St. Suite 100. Current business hours are noon-9 p.m. seven days a week with later hours anticipated for the spring and summer seasons. Similar to the James Island and Summerville locations, Crust Wood Fired Pizza-Downtown features menu favorites like arancini, house-made meatballs, and the crustacean pizza. The 3,000 square ft. downtown space boasts two Mugnaini wood-fired ovens, an open kitchen concept, 24 rotating beers on tap, a video wall, and an indoor/outdoor bar with additional patio seating. Unique to this downtown location is Bailey’s Oyster Bar, showcasing a variety of oysters, small plates, and other seafood-focused dishes. Crust Wood Fired Pizza-Downtown is now accepting reservations via Resy as well as walk-ins and takeout orders. 

“I always wanted a downtown location, and this is a great expansion of the Crust Wood Fired Pizza brand,” says Owner Steve Watkins. “I’m excited for the opening and being situated off Romney. We look forward to serving our community and being a must-stop neighborhood staple.”

Named Bailey’s in honor of an island in Maine that is near and dear to Watkins, Bailey’s is located inside the Crust space yet distinguished from the main dining room to feel like you are stepping into its own unique atmosphere. Bailey’s will feature oysters and additional seafood items from the Lowcountry, New England, and the Pacific Northwest. The wood-fired ovens will be utilized for multiple oyster dishes, including chargrilled oysters and Oysters Rockefeller.
