LowCountry Gold was founded by Charleston resident Dave Douglass, who was inspired to get into the CBD business while in the hospital recovering from a life-saving surgery. Made with USDA-certified organic hemp grown from seed and processed at their 10,000 square foot greenhouse on their 120-acre farm in Elloree, SC, LowCountry Gold products are available online and at farmer’s markets across the state. 

LowCountry Gold is proud of their commitment to limit their environmental impact by controlling the farming, harvesting and processing of all products, ensuring appropriate measures are in place at each step, from seed to shelf. LowCountry Gold’s CBD is 100% bud, with no stems, stalks, leaves or seeds diluting the product. Product testing results are regularly posted online and the farm is inspected annually to uphold its position as producing USDA-certified organic product, without any use of harmful pesticides or chemicals in both the growing and processing stages. The company uses only ice water, low heat and low pressure to produce its oils, and doesn’t use ethanol or CO2 extraction.
