For many, the draw of Ty’s Roadside Coastal Kitchen is the enticing menu; for others, the casual and comforting restaurant environment or perhaps the inviting happy hour specials.
For us, Ty’s Roadside is the personal and inviting family style appeal that makes it a welcome addition to the Mount Pleasant, SC family of restaurants.
Let us tell a little bit more about Ty Neal and his vision:
Ty Neal, owner of Ty’s Roadside Coastal Kitchen, opened his doors at 713 Coleman Boulevard in 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic after moving to South Carolina with his wife, three kids and dog from the Washington D.C. area. It’s said that many of the businesses at this address experienced challenges unlike their neighbors, inevitably leading them to close up shop. Since their opening, Ty’s Roadside has demonstrated what it really takes to survive as a family business over the last three years.
With local charm and next-level Americana, Ty’s has a heart-warming presence within the community. Ty’s daughter, Frankie, runs head of house after school. Ty’s wife, Alaina, assists Frankie and helps out in the prep kitchen on her days off from work as a nurse. And his sister, Sarah, often comes up from Miami to help out her big brother wherever hands are needed.
Authentic family business is hard to come by, but that’s what makes Ty’s Roadside a cornerstone of the Mount Pleasant community.
If that doesn’t convince you, take a peak at these amazing menus and happy hour specials!
We will see y’all at Ty’s!!

Vukan Simic, CEO of FishingBooker, says: “We’ve been awarding the Angler’s Choice Award since 2015. In October 2022, we started releasing the award quarterly with tougher criteria than ever before. We wanted to recognize and honor our most committed captains, and to make it easier for anglers to identify the very best guides on our platform.
Now, we have the pleasure of recognizing a very special group of guides who have earned the award every single time since the new version was introduced. We couldn’t be more excited to honor them for their hard work and dedication.”

[ADAMS RUN] – On Saturday, May 6, the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) broke ground on renovations for the park at Wiltown Community Center.
Wiltown Community Center is a community administered recreation area providing services for families in the surrounding Adams Run area. In an effort to renovate and expand recreational facilities in this part of Charleston County, CCPRC entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Wiltown Community Organization to care and maintain the renovated park through 2041. The conceptual site plan was created by CCPRC through a community participation process to identify and rank park features the community considered most critical.
A steering committee comprised of CCPRC representatives and Wiltown Community Center officers guided the development and approval of the final site plan. Some of the main driving design elements for the plan were the commitment to universal accessibility and durability of park features that require minimal maintenance.
Final site plan elements for the renovations of Wiltown Community Center include:
Wiltown Community Center is located at 5779 Parkers Ferry Road in Adams Run, SC. The center will remain open to the public during the renovations; however, the park will close for short periods only when necessary to complete certain phases of the build.
