South Carolina State Representative Joe Jefferson to Run for Re-Election

PINEVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA – State Representative Joseph “Joe” Jefferson (D-Berkeley) will run for re-election to the South Carolina House of Representatives to represent the people of House District 102 in Berkeley and Dorchester counties.

“I’m running for re-election to continue working for the people of Berkeley County and Dorchester County. I believe we have a lot of work to do to support public schools, fix our roads and bridges, and bring more jobs to the Lowcountry,” Rep. Jefferson said. “I’m fighting to make South Carolina the best place to live and work.”

During his time in the State House, Rep. Jefferson has been a leading voice for supporting public education, expanding access to affordable health care, and building a local economy that supports good-paying jobs.

He serves on the Labor, Commerce and Industry (LCI) Committee, which oversees legislation relating to businesses in South Carolina. He also serves as the 1st Vice Chair of the Legislative Oversight Committee, which supervises state government agencies.

House District 102 covers portions of Berkeley County, including St. Stephen, Russellville, Pineville, and parts of Bonneau, Cross, and Cane Bay, and Dorchester County, including Ridgeville and Harleyville.
