United Soccer Academy Announces New Field Development & Expansion in Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant, S.C. (Sept. 5, 2018) – United Soccer Academy, a leading youth soccer organization in South Carolina, is pleased to announce new field space to meet the needs of the club’s growth in the Charleston region.

Scheduled for completion in 2019, the first phase of the Guerins Bridge Soccer Complex will house four new fields, a pavilion, club office and parking lot. Additional field expansion to an existing facility in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant will help make way for Sweet Feet, a new recreational program for 4-7 year-olds.

“These projects are important because they give our club long-term field space in the central Mount Pleasant area as well as the ability to build our own complex at Guerins Bridge” said United Soccer Academy Club Executive Director Matt Job. “Since our tournament players come from a wide geographic area, we also expect to attract new visitors to experience the area’s wonderful hospitality.”

The first phase of the Guerins Bridge Soccer Complex will be located on 12 acres at the corner of U.S. Highway 17 and Guerins Bridge Road. In addition to the new complex, United Soccer Academy currently holds programs at 10 locations across Mount Pleasant, James Island and downtown Charleston. Current boys and girls programs range from tournaments to leagues and training for juniors between the age of 4 and 18.
