We are Family Brings Joy to Queer South Carolinians’ at the Charleston Queer Youth Prom – New Video by Southern Equality
For two years, the LGBTQ+ and allied community across South Carolina came together to push back on a slate of anti-transgender legislation.
Several bills specifically targeted trans and queer youth, attempting to single out and marginalize young people. In the same month that two anti-LGBTQ+ bills passed, dozens of queer youth came together for We Are Family’s Queer Youth Prom in Charleston.
Remember: Our existence is our resistance. No one – and no discriminatory bill – can take away LGBTQ+ joy.
