We all have our favorite things to do, places to see, dining venues and watering holes in Charleston, and as this city continues to evolve, so to do our tastes and expansive nature of seeing more and more of this great city.

In a few months, my list, as with many of you, will change.  For now, I wanted to share 25 of my favorite things in and about Charleston.

  3. The smell of rosemary at the MUSC Garden
  4. The empty streets of Charleston on Christmas morning
  5. Sailing in the Charleston Harbor
  6. The Saturday morning Farmer’s Market at Marion Square
  7. Creamy Coconut Coffee Boba Tea from Tapio
  8. Poetry readings at the Eclectic Cafe
  9. Movies on the beach at Folly
  10. A rooftop cocktail at Vendue overlooking St Philip’s Church and the Charleston skyline
  11. Live country music at Waterfront Park
  12. Absorbing amazing at at the Grand Bohemian Gallery
  13. Feeling like a Gatsby Era socialite at The Spectator Hotel bar
  14. Letting the air of history touch you while walking through Independence Way
  15. Beer, puppies and sometimes a goat at The Barrel
  16. Live theatre at Threshold Rep, Woolfe Street Playhouse and C-PAC
  17. The coffee artistry of Bearded Cafe
  18. Great rock sounds from the amazing bands at The Royal American
  19. Swing and Latin Dance at Prohibition
  20. Losing yourself in the past at the Unitarian Church Cemetery
