Good News: The Lowcountry is getting a second Trader Joe’s; Bad News: It is also going to be in Mount Pleasant, SC
Trader Joe’s has announced the opening of a second Lowcountry location in Mount Pleasant’s Sweetgrass Corner Shopping Center (1909 N Hwy 17, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
This addition aims to address the high traffic and parking challenges faced by the existing store located at 401 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464.
The current store at 401 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., a bustling hub since its 2011 opening, was formerly the site of Hungryneck Antique Mall from 1993 to 2011.
The establishment of this new East Cooper store supports Trader Joe’s dedication to meeting the increasing consumer demand in the Charleston, SC region.
Really? One isn’t enough for My Pleasant?
West Ashley. James Island. Summerville.
Any of these locations would be better than opening a second one in MP.
Signed,
Everyone in Charleston

Its almost as if they’re trying tell you people something at a corporate level…

West Ashley or some place on James Island, or Johns Island would be awesome. We all have to travel all the way over to Mt.P. Then no matter what time it is you just circle the parking lot. I think if it was in one of these place’s, it would break up the congestion.
We need o e in the Summerville/Newton area!
Yes we do
Need one in Summerville

How about us poor folks in Myrtle Beach. We are in the top ten growth cities in the U. S. And we have to go to Charleston for our Trader Joe’s fix.
Should build one in West Ashley, could use either Aldi, Trader Joe’s or Lidl in West Ashley!!!!
