MESU (Mexican and Sushi Inspired Fare) celebrates Grand Opening on King Street – Wednesday, September 25, 2019

MESU – Republic Development and Management Group’s (RDMG) newest venue is planning on opening its’ doors in early summer 2019. Located next to its sister spot Bourbon n’ Bubbles at 570 King Street (on the corner of Spring ST.) MESU will offer a combination of Mexican and Sushi inspired fare in its energetic new location on upper King Street. As one would expect, it will offer a unique list of sake, tequila and attractive cocktails.

Under the eye of Republic DMG’s Creative Team- the space is designed around street art that has been collecting for years. Our team believes that “People want to eat somewhere that’s exciting and full of energy – where they can meet and engage the food, art and each other.” Diners come to enjoy Sushi and Mexican fair alongside works, original prints, art pieces of world-renowned artist like Alec Monopoly, Jeff Koons, Kaws, Hush, Vhils, just to name a few. Charleston is ready for this kind of experience.

Service and Operations will be overseen by General Manager, Michael Sanders. Sanders has a dynamic background in both fine dining and bar fare. “We want to create a spot that incorporates two complementary cuisines made better by an outstanding service experience.” Full table and bar service will be available.

MESU is developing a menu that speaks to the best ideas from each cuisine. “The menu will have items from both cuisines but of course we’re looking for fun ways to integrate them as well.” MESU is planning on being open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week with late night service and live beats nightly.
