CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 15, 2026) — Tanger Outlets Charleston will celebrate the grand opening of Shake Shack on Wednesday, Sept. 23, welcoming the popular restaurant brand to the shopping center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring the Mayor of North Charleston at 9:30 a.m., ahead of the 10 a.m. opening to the public.
As part of Shake Shack’s purpose to Stand for Something Good®, the restaurant will donate $1 for every sandwich sold on opening day to Lowcountry Food Bank, supporting its mission to help address food insecurity throughout the community. The grand opening celebration will also include gift card giveaways and Shake Shack South Carolina-themed tumbler cups for the first wave of guests, while supplies last.
Located near Abercrombie & Fitch, the 3,500-square-foot restaurant at Tanger Charleston marks Shake Shack’s debut in South Carolina. Shake Shack serves elevated versions of American classics using only the best ingredients. The brand is known for its delicious made-to-order 100% Angus beef burgers, crinkle cut fries, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades and more. The new Tanger Charleston location will welcome guests 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
