FOLLY BEACH, S.C. — Mermaids, mateys, and sea-loving adventurers are invited to gather their crew for the Mermaids & Mateys Festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10am-4pm. This year, the event will have FREE Admission as a welcome back to Center Street after the recent construction. Center Street will transform into a seaside celebration with live music, 80+ local art, craft, and fashion vendors, costume contests, a dunk tank, and plenty of family fun.
Guests are encouraged to dress as a mermaid, matey, or their favorite under-the-sea character for a chance to take home prizes in the family and adult costume contests. The Under the Sea Kids Area, presented by Good Clean Fun, will feature mermaids, sand crafts, stilt walkers, free inflatables, games, jumping fun, and more. Additional live music lineup details will be announced soon. Mermaids & Mateys will once again partner with the Alzheimer’s Association – South Carolina Chapter for Paint Folly Purple, encouraging attendees to wear purple and help raise money for this special local charity.
