Special Poetry Event: Linda Joy Walder at Baxter-Patrick James Island Library – Saturday, August 3, 2024 (Free Event)

DATE: Saturday, August 3, 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

WHAT: FREE Poetry Reading

Celebrated Charleston poet Linda Joy Walder will read from Running Naked in the Snow (Free Verse Press), her debut collection of poems exploring life, love, loss, and hope. Linda’s works include Haiku, rhythm word experiments, and lyrical pieces that the poet describes as “word paintings,” pulling back the curtain during grief, engaging with abandoned flowers, or reflecting on intimate family moments, as well as other experiential encounters. There will be a Q&A with the poet following the reading.

Linda is also the founder of a trailblazing not-for-profit organization that has led the global community for the past 20 years in accepting, valuing, and supporting adults diagnosed with Autism.
