Charleston County Parks Announce More Openings
Charleston County Parks will reopen additional parks starting, Friday May 8. These parks will be open for activities such as running, walking and biking on designated trails. Charleston County Parks staff will be on hand within the parks to ensure that guests are following social distancing guidelines and not using closed amenities.

- Caw Caw Interpretive Center
- James Island County Park
- Johns Island County Park
- Palmetto Islands County Park
- Mount Pleasant Pier (Fishing not allowed)
- Wannamaker County Park
For the safety of our staff and visitors, Charleston County Parks restrooms, showers, playgrounds, off-leash dog parks, spray play areas, retail and food operations and rentals will be closed and lifeguards will not be on duty. Please plan your visit accordingly and continue to check our website for current updates as additional parks and amenities will open in the coming weeks.

Yay! Let’s ignore the CDC, scientists and pandemic experts! SC can spread COVID-19 faster and overload over already overloaded emergency and healthcare workers! So the selfish ignorant babies can go for a jog in a park or hang out a the beach. Dumb and dumber. Not proud to be a Southerner anymore. SC looks like a bunch of ignorant morons.
