  1. Having first visited the Holy City many years ago it became my favorite destination. Something about it seemed so welcoming and familiar. It was as if I had been there a long time ago…maybe a past life. It felt like home. We returned many times for visits and it was always just like coming home. Due to a few years of health issues we have not been able to visit and we are hoping to be there next fall. I truly yearn in my heart to return. I need a long walk along the Battery, a visit to the Market, a trip to Dacubas, lunch at Bubba Gumps. A visit with the wonderful Sawgrass basket artisans plus much more to fill my soul again. I’m hearing that my favorite city is being lost to an influx of people , big business and so called “progress”. I will return with mixed feelings hoping some part of the places I love are still there. Otherwise my heart will truly break because I will grieve the loss the rest of my days. My love to you beautiful city. Stay well.
