why are they all white? Charleston’s true legacy is built off the backs of african americans

    • Michael Churchwell says:

All Culture and color is shared. You listen to too much crap coming from outside and Hollywood . I don’t deny slavery , how could I ? But We have moved on and healed and that makes us strong . Most of us have nothing to do with it nor belonging to the Plantation Class . Slavery was the law of the land in the USA . It’s over , it’s no more and not everything was built off the backs of slaves in our Culture here .The Plantation Class only made up 4-6% of the total population of the South , including Charleston . Slaves were in the north too and those riches of the north was off the backs of slaves too as you say – the wealth made the north into an industrial power and their slaves were sold down South, except for some “ freed “ slaves . Northerns like in NE hated the Free Blacks in their towns and would attack them and drive them away like vermin . The whole Federal Government grew wealthy and greedy off of Slavery even when the north became industrial and no longer needed slaves – “ freed “ but not really free .Up north former slaves were never really free as many think – Blacks broke their backs doing hard labor for chimp change and lived in terrible conditions . The Federal Government put Tariffs placed on Southern Shipping – 40% , then up to 60% . Now how would you feel if you had to give the Government 60% of your paycheck with no returns ? The whole thing about Lincoln is a lie . He was racist and wanted blacks to go back to Africa . The Truths are there to find . Seek Truths . Right now Blacks only make up 14-16% of the Population of the USA – put that in your head , and if you don’t believe it go seek the Truth . Blacks are well off , look around – yeah they’ll always be those who are struggling regardless of color but the Freedom We Have Is all We going to get here . You gotta get rid of that Victim cry baby stuff , because we all have been victims in history , like mine – the Scot-Irish , We lost our whole Country and we’re hunted down like dogs – mine were also banished , put on ships and forced to serve the empire with our lives . So see , here we are in this Country and We Are Americans . Blacks have served the country good , that’s respect …. It’s not about hate and all – there will always be ugly people who are hateful , it’s about respect . We didn’t get here like it was handed us ? so many wars , blood and suffering from the old world to the new world got us here – yeah lots of bad stuff from the old world made it here but We overcome Brother , We are all GOD’s Children and evil still lurks all around us .

  • Michael Poynter says:
